Leila is an accomplished entrepreneur, attorney, and data protection and privacy thought leader. As Founder & CSO of Relyance AI, she uses her firsthand understanding of the major problems global organizations face with privacy and data protection to lead the creation of new data privacy technology products. With investors including Unusual Ventures and Menlo Ventures, Relyance solves one of society’s most important problems: protecting people’s personal information through observability and understanding of data flows. Prior to Relyance, Leila worked in Europe and across the Americas for international law firms and organizations, including Allen & Overy, the US Mission to the European Union, International Court of Arbitration, the OECD, and built multiple law practices from the ground up. As a privacy counsel and DPO, she built out global data protection and legal programs in both private practice and for Workday, Adaptive Insights, as well as organizations in healthcare, autonomous vehicles, and other emerging technology sectors. Leila also founded a global company backed by the Chilean government through Startup Chile, and is passionate about technology, building global organizations, creating new products, data protection, and policy. Leila is proud to support traditionally underrepresented groups in the tech sector, and seeks to create safe, uplifting, and empowering spaces for these groups to thrive in their careers.
